Teenager Jay Slater Missing in Tenerife
Search Enters Fourth Day
19-Year-Old Last Heard From on Monday Morning
OSWALDTWISTLE, Lancashire - The search for British teenager Jay Slater has now entered its fourth day after he went missing in Tenerife while on holiday with friends.
Slater, from Oswaldtwistle, Lancashire, was last heard from on Monday morning as he told a friend he planned to walk back to his hotel after a night out.
His family and friends have since flown to the island to help with the search. Slater's mother, Debbie, said she is "desperate" to find her son.
"He is not a stupid boy and would have flagged down any passing car or spoken to passers by," said Lucy Law, a friend of Slater's.
The search is being coordinated by the Spanish authorities, who have deployed search and rescue teams to the area where Slater was last seen.
